Dakota Ringneck Pheasant Hunting is located in eastern South Dakota, near beautiful Lake Poinsett. Measuring approximately 8,000 acres, Lake Poinsett is one of the largest lakes in South Dakota. You will be hunting on 4,000 contiguous acres of land, some of which is always kept as refuge. Our hunting includes CRP grass, food plots, waterways, and sloughs, all of which are nestled in the rolling terrain around Lake Poinsett.
Your hosts at Dakota Ringneck are Ken and Ellen Hansen, along with their son, Andy, and his wife, Kelsey. Ken takes great pride in managing his family farm in such a way that it boosts the pheasant population from year to year. By strategically planning food plots and grass buffer zones around heavy cat tail sloughs, he creates a good habitat for pheasants 365 days a year.
